Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jose Carlos Luciano (ranked 1376 p4p, 192 weight class) and Amr Al As (ranked 1518 p4p, 214 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The judges for this bout are Steven Brown, Daniel Bishop and Richard Clark.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Al As throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Luciano throws a counter high kick but Al As was just alert enough to avoid it.
Al As misses with an uppercut. Luciano saw that one coming.
Luciano lifts his leg as if looking to counter with a high kick.
Luciano slips a jab from Al As.
Al As looks to land a left hand but Luciano moved out of range nicely.
Al As has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Al As swinging wildly here.
Luciano throws the left hand but Al As avoids the punch easily.
Luciano walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
We've been told by Luciano's head coaches at White Eagle that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Al As misses with a left hand
and Luciano counters with a nice leg kick.
Luciano throws a hook but Al As blocks it.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Luciano getting the better of the striking in that exchange.
Al As lands a nice shot that snaps Luciano's head back.
Al As swings widly with a right hand
and Luciano counters with a nice kick to the body.
Al As catches Luciano with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Al As throws a shot from downtown. Luciano moves away and avoids it.

A combination from Al As does no damage.
Nice cross by Al As.
Luciano throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Al As.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Al As! But no joy.
Amr Al As seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Luciano misses with a head kick.
Al As lunges at Luciano with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Luciano's hand.
Luciano lands with an overhand left.
Luciano jabs at Al As's body.
Al As looks to score with a jab to the body but Luciano is just out of range.
It appears Luciano was looking to counter with a kick there.
Luciano avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Al As might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.
Al As smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
Al As feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Lucianos jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Luciano tests Al As's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Al As tries to bum rush Luciano with a series of wild strikes but Luciano uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Luciano throws a looping overhand right but Al As ducks down to avoid it.
Al As swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
Al As throws a right and a left that Luciano avoids nicely.
Luciano throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Luciano slips under a jab.
Luciano lands with a nice body punch.
Luciano misses with a left hand
and Al As counters with a stiff right hand.
Al As will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Luciano lands a front kick.
Al As moves out of range of the strikes.
Despite the aggression on Al As's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.

Luciano lands a big head kick that sends Al As tumbling to the mat! Luciano takes a step backwards and waves Al As back to his feet - he wants the finish!

Al As is rocked!

It looks like Amr Al As has been cut.
Al As looks to throw the jab but Luciano is out of range.
Al As is still on wobbly legs! Can Luciano finish him?

Al As misses with a double jab.
A little feinted left hand from Luciano on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
A swing and a miss from Al As.
Luciano ducks down into range and throws a picture perfect right hook that connects with Al As's jaw. Al As's eyes stare off into space as he falls to the mat, out cold! Luciano does the decent thing and steps back, rather than landing any shots to his unconscious opponent.
