Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jewel Guerra (ranked 24670 p4p, 0 weight class) and Choke Slam (ranked 6149 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Slam's choice of entrance music: MGK ft. Kid Rock - Bad Motherfucker. Choke Slam has the eye of the tiger tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Jewel Guerra!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Choke Slam!
The judges for this bout are Paul Tew, James Atkins and Sam Margolis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Guerra circles away from the clinch attempt.

Guerra shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Slam is trying to defend but Guerra finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Slam preventing any damage for now, controlling his opponent's head.
Slam wants to control but Guerra is keeping busy and won't allow it.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Guerra slips a nice elbow through Slam's hands, connecting with Slam's forehead.
Guerra landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.
Guerra throwing shots but Slam is blocking nicely.
Guerra sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Slam defending well though.

Guerra is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Guerra is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
Guerra is trying to get back to his feet now but his leg is trapped.
Slam is looking to improve his position.

Slam kicks Guerra off and gets back to his feet.

Some bone on bone action there as Slam checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
Slam throws out a counter right but Guerra avoids it with no problem.

Slam shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Guerra napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Slam wants to take a breather but Guerra manages to regain guard - a lesson learnt for Slam.
Guerra keeping moving, preventing Slam from controlling successfully.
Guerra looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.

Slam postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Slam preventing the sweep.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Guerra seems keen to control Slam's posture.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Slam moves in looking to clinch but Guerra pushes him off.
Slam lands with an uppercut that bounces Guerra off the cage and back into range.
Guerra misses with a takedown attempt
and Slam counters with a right hand to the body.

Slam clinches up against the cage.

Slam gets control of Guerra's arms and successfully pulls guard. Slam will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
Guerra postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Slam working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Guerra doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Guerra manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Slam is trying to control the position but Guerra postures up.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Choke Slam dominated that round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!


Slam wants to clinch up but Guerra keeps it at a distance.
As Slam tries to get set, Guerra tries to push him back and clinch up but Slam manages to avoid the attempt.
Guerra ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Guerra scores with a crisp jab that stopped Slam in his tracks.

Slam closes the distance and clinches.
The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Slam takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.

Guerra postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.

Slam is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Guerra is aware though and is defending well.

Guerra closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Slam's guard.
Slam is breathing heavily.

Slam preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
Guerra working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Slam's head.
Guerra has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Slam is proving hard to escape from.
Jewel Guerra overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Guerra lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Guerra has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Slam is proving hard to escape from.
Guerra not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Guerra gets to his feet - Slam follows without any prompting.

Slam is looking to clinch.

Slam dives in and scores a takedown into Guerra's guard.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Guerra holds on and takes a little breather.
Slam in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Guerra pulls Slam in close to prevent any damage.
Guerra wants to sweep here but Slam controlling him for the moment.

Guerra lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.


Slam is working an open guard so Guerra takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
Slam moves to clinch but Guerra breaks away
and Guerra counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Slam fails with an attempt to clinch.

Guerra throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Slam tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Guerra is in Slam's guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!


Slam thows a leg kick but Guerra checks it
and Guerra counters with a nice body kick.
Guerra avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Slam tries to clinch up but Guerra circles away and keeps his distance.
Guerra tries to counter by moving into the clinch but Slam manages to circle out of the way.

Guerra clinches.

Slam manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.

Guerra decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.

Slam drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Guerra pulls Slam in close to his closed guard and prevents Slam from doing any damage or advancing position.

Guerra avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Guerra looking to hit a scissor sweep but Slam is one step ahead there.
Guerra is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Slam wants to improve his position but Guerra is controlling well.

Slam takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Slam is looking to control Guerra's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Slam avoid being mounted?
Slam makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Slam.
Guerra content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.

Guerra postures up and lands a big shot to Slam's brow.

Slam is working an open guard so Guerra takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.

Guerra closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
