Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Logan Briggs (ranked 6938 p4p, 0 weight class) and Joaquin Jinete (ranked 6140 p4p, 502 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Mauricio Rocha, Matheus Silva and Leandro Rodrigues.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jinete drives through with a takedown into guard.
Jinete stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Briggs swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Jinete controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
Jinete tries to free his leg and advance position but Briggs is retaining full guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Jinete stays in close to Briggs's body and controls the position.
Jinete looking to pass the guard.
Briggs looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Jinete seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Briggs is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Jinete looking to control the position here, rather than advance.
Briggs is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Jinete is aware though and is defending well.
Jinete avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Briggs working for a triangle but Jinete defends it easily.
Jinete has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Briggs to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Jinete is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Briggs pulls down on the head and he's put Jinete to sleep! This one is all over!
