Fujiwara comes to the cage accompanied by Nippon glory. Daniel Nilsson has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Yoshiaki Fujiwara's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Yoshiaki Fujiwara!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Daniel Nilsson!
The judges for this bout are Shirou Masuda, Yukihiro Yamamoto and Kenichi Hosakawa.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fujiwara fails with a takedown attempt.
Nilsson moves into range and lands a nice body kick.
Nilsson shoots in for a takedown but Fujiwara shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Nilsson thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Fujiwara if he has to take too many more of those.
Nilsson wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.

Fujiwara closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Nilsson's guard.
Fujiwara lands a couple of decent looking shots.
Fujiwara stops Nilsson from standing up.
Nilsson wants to control but Fujiwara passes easily into half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Nilsson is trying to control but can't.

Nilsson wants to control but Fujiwara passes into side.

Fujiwara decides to stand back up. Fujiwara steps back and let's Nilsson get back to his feet.
Nilsson scores with a kick to the body.
Fujiwara shoots in looking for a takedown. Nilsson tries to sprawl out of it but Fujiwara keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Nilsson manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Nilsson is looking to clinch.

Fujiwara closes the distance and clinches.
Fujiwara could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Fujiwara changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Nilsson fights it off and pushes away nicely.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Yoshiaki Fujiwara. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Fujiwara closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Nilsson quickly recovers to half guard.
Nilsson is looking to control Fujiwara's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Nilsson avoid being mounted?

Fujiwara takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
Fujiwara's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Fujiwara postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Nilsson to stand up.
Nilsson fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Nilsson looks winded!
Fujiwara throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Nilsson counters with a nice body shot.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Fujiwara.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Fujiwara in side control, working for a kimura. He's got hold of an arm and he's torquing it... Nilsson is tapping! That's the end of the fight!
