The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Boom tries to bum rush Sheppard with a series of wild strikes but Sheppard uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Boom misses with a series of wild punches.

Boom throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Sheppard tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Boom is in Sheppard's guard.
Sheppard manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Boom manages to get himself to full guard.

Boom wants to stand and escape but Sheppard is having none of it.
Sheppard cracks Boom with a solid left hand.
Sheppard is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Boom wants to sweep here but Sheppard controlling him for the moment.
Sheppard scores with a decent looking elbow strike.

Boom working for a triangle but Sheppard defends it easily.
Sheppard controls from within his opponent's guard.
Boom is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Sheppard is controlling him.
Sheppard content to stall in guard here.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Sheppard postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.

Boom kicks Sheppard off and gets to his feet.
Boom throws a right and a left that Sheppard avoids nicely.
A cross from Boom lands.

It looks like Dillon Sheppard has been cut.

Boom lands a left and a right that send Sheppard crashing to the mat, dazed. Boom thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

Sheppard is rocked!
Sheppard backs away from a small jab... but Boom lunges forward with a huge superman punch! Sheppard crumples to the ground as his mouth piece is sent flying! Boom with a spectacular finish!
