PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Tad Sellers (ranked 6023 p4p, 0 weight class) and Vladimir Punchsky (ranked 24432 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Tad Sellers!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Vladimir Punchsky!
The judges for this bout are Paul Aken, Nard Betker and Daniel Blasius.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Horrible takedown attempt by Sellers or perhaps it was just good defense by Punchsky, which made it look bad.
Sellers displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Punchsky.
Sellers tries to counter with a takedown but Punchsky is quick to defend against it.
Punchsky scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.


It looks like Tad Sellers has been cut.
Punchsky throws a body shot but no joy.
Sellers bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Sellers misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Punchsky is looking to clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Punchsky throws a low kick, looking for Sellers's leg but Sellers calmly moves out of range.
Punchsky misses with a double jab

and Sellers counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Punchsky utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

Sellers has gone for a leg lock! Punchsky slips out almost immediately though and dives into Sellers's guard.

Punchsky has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Sellers is proving hard to escape from.
Sellers looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Punchsky puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard.
Sellers trying to hold on to Punchsky's head to control him but Punchsky postures up.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Sellers is trying to get back to full guard.
Punchsky is keen to just control but Sellers is a slippery customer.
Sellers tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land.
Sellers slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Sellers holds on and takes a little breather.
Punchsky trying to stand up but can't free himself from Sellers's guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Sellers wants to sweep here but Punchsky controlling him for the moment.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Sellers looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Tad Sellers. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Sellers drives through with a takedown into guard.

Punchsky has his feet on Sellers's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.
We've been informed that Punchsky has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight.
Punchsky goes for a double leg but Sellers avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Sellers continues to drive forward.
Punchsky misses with a few strikes there.
Punchsky looks to land a combination but Sellers avoids it well.
Punchsky throws a body shot but no joy.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Sellers tries to move into range but Punchsky moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Good standup being displayed there by Punchsky as he connects with a hook.
Punchsky tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Sellers fails with a takedown attempt.
Punchsky throws a right and a left that both miss.
Sellers closes this distance looking for a takedown but Punchsky circles away.
Punchsky lands a big right hand and follows it up with an uppercut. Oh and another big punch and a knee - Sellers can't take much more of this! Another big shot to the jaw from Punchsky and Sellers drops to the floor. Beaten and bloodied - he had enough there. A vicious beatdown by Punchsky.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:40 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Vladimir Punchsky!
Our winner, Vladimir Punchsky, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
