The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shaw looks to land a left hand but DeNeville moved out of range nicely.

DeNeville fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Shaw.

Shaw has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.

Shaw looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.
DeNeville has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Xtreme MMA in the buildup to the fight.
Shaw feints a jab promting DeNeville to slip. Shaw then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. DeNeville slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.
DeNeville throws out a leg kick but Shaw moves out of range and DeNeville only half commits.

DeNeville's corner calls for a 1-2. DeNeville obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.

DeNeville is nestled in close to Shaw, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

DeNeville lands a big elbow - Shaw is out of it! He's waving his arms around but his eyes are closed and he's not intelligently defending himself - the ref has no choice but to jump in and stop the fight! This one is in the books! A TKO win for DeNeville!
