Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Barack Obama (ranked 1630 p4p, 75 weight class) and Yas Uru (ranked 2802 p4p, 135 weight class). The fight MMA fans around the world have waited their entire lives for!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 19 - 22 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Barack Obama!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 19 - 21 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Yas Uru!
The judges for this bout are Dean Styles, John Roberts and Steve Montenegro.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Obama gets a clinch.
Uru blocking some punches.

Uru breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Obama changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Uru tries to avoid it but Obama manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Uru to the ground. Uru escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Obama shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Obama seems to be trying to get a kimura but instead Uru has recovered full guard.
Uru wants to stand and escape but Obama is having none of it.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Obama stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Uru swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Uru has scooted to the edge of the canvas and used the cage to get back to his feet. Obama has stuck on his opponent and is forcing him back against the cage.

Uru breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
The fight stays on the outside here - Obama looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Uru on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
A head kick misses from Obama.
Uru is clearly trying to counter these attacks from Obama with a body shot.
Obama is looking to clinch.
Uru stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Uru wants it to stay on the feet.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Obama is defended easily by Uru.

Obama tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Uru manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Obama moves into the clinch.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Obama.
Obama misses with a punch on the inside.
Obama softening up his opponent with strikes, against the cage.
Obama scores with a nice hook to the head.
Uru's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!

Uru breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Obama scores with a takedown into Uru's guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Uru has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Obama off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.
Obama will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Obama has taken the fight to the clinch.

Uru breaks the clinch.
Obama throws a right hand that misses
and Uru counters with a straight right hand.
Uru misses with a looping left.
Yas Uru is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Uru tries to keep at a distance but Obama has taken the fight into the clinch.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Obama keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Uru's efforts to push away.
Uru wants to get back to striking at distance but Obama won't allow it.

A frustrated look appears on Uru's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Obama misses with a punch to the body.
Obama tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Uru's elbow.

Obama scores with an uppercut up the middle.
Obama lands with a right to the head.
Uru prevents a body shot from Obama.
Obama pushes Uru back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.
Uru wants to get back to striking at distance but Obama won't allow it.
Obama keeps control of Uru as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.

Uru pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Obama tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and Uru counters with a left to the body.
Obama darts in looking for a takedown but Uru gets double underhooks and turns Obama into the cage.
A shot to the body from Obama misses
and Uru counters with a straight right hand.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Yas Uru will probably get the nod.

Uru stuffs the takedown attempt from Obama. Obama gets slowly back to his feet.
Obama works Uru's body with a nice hook.
Uru lands with a shot to the body.
Uru keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Uru doesn't fully commit to the body shot counter.
Obama dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Obama shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Obama wants to clinch up but Uru keeps it at a distance.

Obama connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
Obama throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Uru's waist but Uru gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Obama off to one side.
Uru flicks out a counter leg kick but Obama steps away.

A looping hook to the body misses from Uru. Obama does a little dance to reset his feet.
Obama tries to clinch but Uru moves out of range.
Uru is clearly trying to counter these attacks from Obama with a body shot.

Obama has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Uru.

Obama fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Uru manages to avoid it.

and Uru counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Uru.

Obama throws a punch but it's blocked by Uru.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

No luck with that takedown attempt from Obama.
Uru throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
Uru leaves Obama with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Obama tries to clinch there but Uru circles away.

Uru tries to sprawl but Obama drives through with a takedown into half guard.

Uru pushes Obama off and gets back to his feet.

Obama on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Uru. Uru obviously looking to wear him down.
Uru looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
Uru lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
Uru fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.

Obama shoots in and drives through. Uru sprawls well.
Uru let fly with a counter punch to the body but it didn't land.

Uru lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected.

and Uru counters with a nice body shot.

Obama closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Uru quickly recovers to half guard.

Uru pushes Obama off and gets back to his feet.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

This has been an exciting period of action!
A slapping leg kick lands for Uru.

Obama shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Uru's guard.
Obama tries to free his leg and advance position but Uru is retaining full guard.

Uru is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.

Uru wriggles free and stands up.
Obama tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Uru paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Uru rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Obama moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Yas Uru showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!

Obama shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Uru counters with a left to the body.
Uru moves out of range as Obama strikes.
The fight stays on the outside here - Obama looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Obama scores with a sloppy right hand. Uru should have avoided that one.
Obama tries to clinch but Uru is having none of it.

Uru lands a leg kick that knocks Obama off balance momentarily.

and Uru counters with an inside leg kick.
Uru avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Obama misses with a takedown attempt - Uru sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Uru scores with a one two! Obama had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.

Obama has a couple of punches blocked by Uru.

Uru breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Obama on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
Uru scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.
Obama goes for a double leg but Uru avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Uru continues to drive forward.

and Uru counters with a nice low kick that buckles Obama's knee momentarily.

Uru lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.

Obama tries to clinch but Uru is having none of it.

Yas Uru comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I've got Uru winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
