PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight kickboxing rules bout between Marek Piotrowski (ranked 9079 p4p, 701 weight class) and Helmut Tagwerker (ranked 21422 p4p, 774 weight class). Piotrowski comes into the arena with Chlopcy ida na wojne blaring out of the sound system. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tagwerker stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Tagwerker feints a jab promting Piotrowski to slip. Tagwerker then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Piotrowski slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.

Tagwerker might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.

Tagwerker has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Tagwerker crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Piotrowski - the referee stops the clock and Tagwerker gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Piotrowski. Tagwerker manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Well Tagwerker has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
