The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bigsby displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Van Acker.
Van Acker lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Van Acker scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.
Luc Van Acker seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Bigsby dives in and grabs Van Acker's left leg, looking for a takedown. Van Acker pushes down on Bigsby's head and hops out.
Van Acker closes the distance and clinches up with Bigsby, looking for a takedown. Van Acker pushes Bigsby against the cage but Bigsby circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Van Acker just manages to avoid a counter high kick fromBigsby.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Van Acker shoots in looking for a takedown. Bigsby tries to sprawl out of it but Van Acker keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Bigsby manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Bigsby tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Van Acker defends well and Bigsby ends up having to push Van Acker into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

Van Acker shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Bigsby as he avoids it easily.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Van Acker is trying to drag Bigsby to the mat but Bigsby just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Bigsby landing knees to the body. They look like they could hurt.
Bigsby tries to stall but Van Acker uses the opportunity to gain a better position.
Bigsby tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Van Acker avoids it.

Bigsby fails to pull guard.
Bigsby jumps guard but Van Acker stands there with Bigsby around his waist. Bigsby gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Van Acker wants the takedown. Bigsby is fighting it off but Van Acker persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Bigsby's guard against the cage.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Van Acker scores with a decent looking elbow strike.

Bigsby escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Van Acker gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Van Acker gets to his feet and stands over Bigsby, holding his ankles. He dives in with a big left hand that connects! Bigsby felt that one! Van Acker unloads more punches and elbows and this one is over! The ref has dived in to save Bigsby from any more punishment!
