Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jack Smith (ranked 5295 p4p, 555 weight class) and Misak Petrosyan (ranked 4146 p4p, 447 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Misak Petrosyan!
The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Gwen Towbar and Wesley Smith.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Smith closes the distance and clinches up with Petrosyan, looking for a takedown. Smith pushes Petrosyan against the cage but Petrosyan circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Smith misses with a takedown attempt
and Petrosyan cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
That kick from Petrosyan tenderised Smith's leg. Smith is trying to keep his angry face on.

Smith shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Petrosyan's guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Petrosyan has scooted to the edge of the canvas and used the cage to get back to his feet. Smith has stuck on his opponent and is forcing him back against the cage.

Smith goes for a double leg but Petrosyan avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Petrosyan continues to drive forward.

It looks like Jack Smith has been cut.
Horrible takedown attempt by Smith or perhaps it was just good defense by Petrosyan, which made it look bad.

Smith changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Petrosyan tries to avoid it but Smith manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Petrosyan to the ground. Petrosyan escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Smith shoots for a double leg takedown but Petrosyan sprawls well. He's pushed Smith's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Smith is rocked!
Petrosyan ducks down into range and throws a picture perfect right hook that connects with Smith's jaw. Smith's eyes stare off into space as he falls to the mat, out cold! Petrosyan does the decent thing and steps back, rather than landing any shots to his unconscious opponent.
