The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Chung looks to throw the jab but Martinez is out of range.
Chung throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped

and Martinez counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

Chung has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Martinez off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.
Alex Chung seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Chung pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Chung works Martinez's body with a nice hook.

Martinez rushes Chung and presses him up against the cage.
Chung is trying to break the clinch but Martinez is controlling him.

Chung explodes and escapes back to his feet! Nice escape there!

Martinez closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Chung is bucking up trying to escape but Martinez cracks him with another couple of good strikes.

Martinez has hold of Chung's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Chung manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

Chung is trying to push Martinez away but Martinez has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
