Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Bobby Boucher (ranked 2007 p4p, 209 weight class) and Murphy Leonard (ranked 1082 p4p, 120 weight class). Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 3 - 1, fighting out of The Island, Bobby Boucher!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Murphy Leonard!
The judges for this bout are Michael Johnstone, Winston Alpacca and David Hoff.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Leonard shoots and misses

and Boucher counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Leonard!
Boucher is working Leonard over with some ground and pound from side control.
Leonard is looking for a sweep.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

We've been hearing that Boucher has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish.

Boucher tries for a kimura but Leonard is defending well.
Leonard tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Boucher wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Boucher prevents Leonard from improving his position.
Boucher looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Leonard with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Leonard has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Boucher is working away from the top position though.
Boucher looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
Boucher tries to pass the half guard into mount. Leonard knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
Boucher is taking a breather. Leonard says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Boucher seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Leonard for as long as he can get away with.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Leonard is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Boucher is aware though and is defending well.

Leonard has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Boucher doesn't defend quickly enough and Leonard has managed to lock this one up! Can Boucher escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Leonard on a fantastic submission victory.
