Santel is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: The master. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nuutti throws a head kick but Santel moves out of range.
Santel shapes to counter with a head kick.

Santel changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Nuutti looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Nuutti throws his opponent off and manages to get back to his feet! Nicely done!

Nuutti's jab looks to have found its range, popping Santel under the eye.

so Santel counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Santel prevents Nuutti from getting back to his feet.

Santel stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Nuutti swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Nuutti wants to get back to his feet but Santel is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

Santel slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Nuutti is working an open guard so Santel takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
A looping hook to the body misses from Nuutti. Santel does a little dance to reset his feet.
Santel unleashes a big counter combination but Nuutti bobs and weaves and avoids any damage.
Santel fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Nuutti checks it well.

A little jabbing left from Santel on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.

Santel tries for a takedown but Nuutti sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
It appears Nuutti was looking to counter with a kick there.

Nuutti bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Santel's head.
Nuutti clobbers Santel with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.

Nuutti throws an overhand right that lands on Santel's shoulder, as Santel tries to avoid the shot.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Santel! But no joy.
Nuutti throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Santel looks for a takedown but Nuutti sprawls well.
Vilkas Nuutti is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

and Nuutti counters with a nice low kick that buckles Santel's knee momentarily.

Santel shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Santel was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Nuutti turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Santel drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Santel prevents Nuutti from getting back to his feet.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Santel is stalling in the full guard.
Nuutti is looking to stand up but Santel isn't so interested in that idea.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Santel moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
A lazy left from Nuutti finds it's target.
That kick from Nuutti tenderised Santel's leg. Santel is trying to keep his angry face on.
Horrible takedown attempt by Santel or perhaps it was just good defense by Nuutti, which made it look bad.

Santel shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Nuutti defends it nicely.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Santel tries to score a power double leg takedown but Nuutti sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Santel somewhat.
Vilkas Nuutti has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ad Santel.
Nuutti pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Santel back to the cage. Nuutti follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.

Santel is rocked!
Nuutti closes the distance and lands a vicious right hand that drops Santel! Nuutti dives in looking to finish! Santel is still trying to defend himself but he's taking too many shots and the referee has no choice but to stop the fight!
