Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Dennis Guetier!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Miguel Sanchez!
The judges for this bout are Paul Gruel, Josh West and Chris Saunders.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sanchez takes a swing at Guetier's ribcage but misses.
Sanchez throws a half hearted mid kick.
Sanchez throws a series of strikes that have Guetier backpedaling.
Guetier defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Sanchez.
Guetier is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
Guetier misses with a straight right.
Sanchez swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Guetier tries to bum rush Sanchez with a series of wild strikes but Sanchez uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Guetier leaves Sanchez with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Sanchez misses with a body kick.
As Sanchez looks to move away, Guetier throws a big counter combo but Sanchez just gets out of the way.
Sanchez is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Guetier.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Sanchez gets the takedown into side control.
Guetier tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Sanchez wants to control but Guetier is keeping him busy.
The ground and pound from Sanchez seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent.
Sanchez has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Guetier parries the strikes from Sanchez easily there. Sanchez is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Guetier to escape.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Sanchez works to advance to full mount. Guetier defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs.
Sanchez working away from the top, dropping strikes.
Sanchez tries to control but Guetier wriggling away.
Sanchez pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.


Guetier is rocked!
Sanchez lands a big elbow - Guetier is in trouble! More strikes from the mount and Guetier is forced to tap out!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:58 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Strikes). Miguel Sanchez!
