The judges for this bout are Micheangelo Fripello, Ryoma Takatsuka and Josh West.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fernandez shoots in and bounces Striker off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Striker is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.
Striker manages to break the clinch.
The Striker seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Striker stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Striker wants it to stay on the feet.
Striker throws a series of strikes that have Fernandez backpedaling.
It looks like Alvaro Fernandez has been cut.
Striker throws a right and a left that both miss.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Fernandez goes for a double leg but Striker avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Striker continues to drive forward.
Striker cracks a nice hook into Fernandez's ribs.
Striker fails with an attempt to clinch.
Striker throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Striker stuffs the takedown attempt from Fernandez. Fernandez gets slowly back to his feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Alvaro Fernandez. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Striker throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Fernandez.
Fernandez changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit.
Fernandez closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Striker bucks up and manages to escape back to his feet!
Striker lands with a thumping leg kick.
Striker misses with a head kick.
Striker delivers a nice body kick.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Striker misses with a few strikes there.
It's a brutal combination of punches from Striker! Fernandez is backing up but he can't get away as Striker lands with one final shot to the jaw that drops Fernandez and ends the fight. Great knockout.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:58 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). The Striker!
In his post fight interview, The Striker started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
