Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Magnus Fjeld (ranked 3650 p4p, 123 weight class) and Mauricio Gendozo (ranked 5691 p4p, 193 weight class). Fjeld kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Little Big - Big Dick. Gendozo has chosen Frank Sinatra-Killing me softly as his entrance music. Mauricio Gendozo has the eye of the tiger tonight.

The judges for this bout are Yuuki Gou, Shigeki Sano and Kenichi Hosakawa.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gendozo's corner calls for a 1-2. Gendozo obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.

Gendozo feints and as Fjeld raises his hands in defense, Gendozo changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Gendozo drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Gendozo jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Fjeld is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Gendozo dives into side control.

Fjeld is pushing Gendozo's head away, looking to escape. Gendozo manages to hold on to the position though.
Fjeld knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Gendozo on the ground.

Gendozo drops down looking for an ankle pick but Fjeld pulls his leg out and moves away.

Fjeld lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Fjeld darts in looking for a takedown but Gendozo gets double underhooks and turns Fjeld into the cage.
Fjeld feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Gendozos jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Fjeld looks to land a combination but Gendozo avoids it well.
We've been hearing reports that Fjeld has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

That was a close round but I would say that Magnus Fjeld will probably get the nod.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Gendozo might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.

The fight stays on the outside here - Gendozo looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Gendozo might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Fjeld haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
Fjeld will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Fjeld has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Gendozo to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Fjeld is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Gendozo pulls down on the head and he's put Fjeld to sleep! This one is all over!
