Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Mister Island (ranked 1487 p4p, 75 weight class) and Ben McHough (ranked 1209 p4p, 63 weight class). Ben McHough will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Island throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. McHough was covering up waiting for the punch and Island finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Island pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. McHough is keeping the position for now.

Island drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Island jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
McHough is trying to control Island's posture but Island avoids it.

Island has hold of McHough's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! McHough tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Island cranks the arm and McHough screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from McHough, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.

Mister Island was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
