Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Adam Silver (ranked 4336 p4p, 515 weight class) and Argat Khan (ranked 3628 p4p, 458 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silver fails to land the takedown.
Silver has managed to clinch.

Silver pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Silver tries to close the distance and clinch up but Khan swats him away and circles back towards the center.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Silver shoots in looking for a takedown but Khan manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Silver's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Khan lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Silver ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Silver no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
