Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Andrea Barone (ranked 1024 p4p, 32 weight class) and Kalle Karlsson (ranked 1643 p4p, 50 weight class). Karlsson has chosen Carolus Rex - Sabaton as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Karlsson throws a left and a right that both miss
and Barone counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Barone.
Karlsson breaks from the clinch.
Karlsson keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Barone slips under a jab.
Barone was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit.
Karlsson slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
It looks like Andrea Barone has been cut.

I was talking to Barone's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.

Karlsson manages to break the clinch.
Karlsson lands a big right hand that sends Barone crashing to the mat! Karlsson stays standing though and waves Barone back to his feet!
Barone is rocked!
Karlsson connects with a nice cross there... Barone is looking wobbly and Karlsson recognises it - he's rushed in and lands two more brutal shots that send Barone to the canvas, out cold! A brutal finish to the fight - Karlsson jumps onto the cage to celebrate with the crowd!
