Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Dean Malenko (ranked 5243 p4p, 592 weight class) and Mikey Tyson Jr (ranked 4373 p4p, 529 weight class). Malenko comes to the ring accompanied by Malenko theme. I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Mikey Tyson Jr was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Malenko tries to check a leg kick but that clearly hurt him.

Malenko throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Tyson Jr tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Malenko is in Tyson Jr's guard.

Malenko decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Tyson Jr, up you get!

Malenko is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Tyson Jr is keeping busy.
Tyson Jr lands a body punch.
Tyson Jr lands a nice elbow from the clinch.
Malenko is trying to pull guard but Tyson Jr turns him against the ropes and we stay in the clinch.
Tyson Jr lands with a good tight uppercut to the head.
Malenko is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Tyson Jr is defending well for now.
Malenko has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Tyson Jr is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Tyson Jr throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges.
Malenko tries to score a body lock takedown but Tyson Jr shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Dean Malenko. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Come on Tyson Jr - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.
Tyson Jr is pressed up against the ropes. Malenko has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Tyson Jr down to the mat. Tyson Jr avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Tyson Jr moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.

Malenko seems to be squinting his left eye. Perhaps he got a poke in that previous exchange. Tyson Jr shows no mercy and swarms him with a barage of strikes! Malenko is backing up but Tyson Jr catches him with a final right hook that drops him! Malenko covers up and the referee steps in to end the fight! Tyson Jr Jumps to his feet and flashes his guns to the crowd. Oh yeah, baby! How'd you like them apples?!
