Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Terry Norris!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Conor Davies!
The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, Daniel Bishop and James Atkins.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Davies scores with a body shot.

Davies gets caught napping as Norris dives in and scores a takedown. Davies manages to retain guard.
Norris throws a big elbow that misses.
Norris loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Davies manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Norris manages to get himself to full guard.

Davies wants to control from the top but Norris keeps moving.

Norris can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Davies controls the pace.
Norris is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Norris throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Davies's waist but Davies gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Norris off to one side.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Terry Norris. That's going to take a lot out of him.

and Davies counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Norris tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Davies defends well and Norris ends up having to push Davies into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

and Davies counters with a lovely shot to the body.

Norris takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
A decent looking cross lands there for Davies.
Davies lands a nice hook to Norris's body. Norris takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.

and Davies counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Norris thinking.
Davies lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Norris.
Davies lands a right hook to the body.
Davies bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Norris misses with an uppercut. Davies saw that one coming.

Norris closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Davies is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Norris's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Norris's back!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Norris staying busy and making it hard for Davies to control.
Davies really has the hooks in deep now - there seems like no escape for Norris.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Norris is trying to get back to his feet but Davies has full control of the position and if anything, Norris has just worked his way into a worse spot.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Conor Davies dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


Norris has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Norris there as he acknowledges the shot.

Davies has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Norris is landing a low percentage of strikes.

Davies scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Norris doesn't seem bothered though.

and Davies counters with a straight right hand.

Norris takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Oh Norris is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Davies has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Davies drops Norris with a naaaaasty hook - Norris is in real trouble here! Davies dives in to side control and pounds out his opponent for a TKO victory! The crowd goes nuts!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:11 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Conor Davies!
Conor Davies decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
