The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Watawaka has closed the distance and engaged Valdez in a clinch.
Watawaka lands a hook that snaps the head of Valdez backwards.

Watawaka got a little sloppy there for a moment and Valdez has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Watawaka has managed to get both his arms back between Valdez's legs - danger averted.
Watawaka wants to stand and escape but instead Valdez has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.

Watawaka creates some distance for himself and unleashes a massive uppercut that sends Valdez's eyes rolling into the back of his head! Valdez drops to his knees and Watawaka pours it on with more strikes until the referee steps in to end the bout!
