The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Sung throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Saltsage on the side of the head.

Saltsage has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
Saltsage tries to throw a body punch but Sung avoids it by throwing Saltsage back against the cage.

Sung pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Saltsage clobbers Sung with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.

Sung fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Saltsage throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Sung.

Sung dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Sung tests Saltsage's chin there with a solid looking shot.

A left hand lands to the body for Saltsage.
Saltsage misses with a body punch.

Sung breaks from the clinch.
Sung lands a nice hook to Saltsage's body. Saltsage takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.

Sung cracks Saltsage with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Sung has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Saltsage to stand back up!
Sung lands hard precision jab right on the jaw that stiffens Saltsage up and sends him tumbling to the mat! The ref grabs Sung from behind before he can pounce. Some folks in the crowd didn't like that stoppage, but I saw Saltsage's eyes roll way back in his head, he was done.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:41 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Sam Sung!
After winning the bout, Sam Sung thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
