The judges for this bout are Winston Alpacca, Michael Johnstone and Sandra Marshall.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Martin doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Ross jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.

Martin looking for a takedown here - he's got it.
Martin throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Ross pulls Martin in close to his closed guard and prevents Martin from doing any damage or advancing position.
Martin looking to sit in guard and control but Ross gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Ross controls from within his opponent's guard.
Ross with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.

Ross with a flurry of punches that miss.
Ross trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Ross chips away with some ground and pound.
Martin trying to control the position.
Ross lands a couple of elbows.
Ross trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Ross won't allow Martin to get back to his feet.
Ross makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
Ross throwing strikes from guard but Martin blocks nicely.

Ross is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Martin really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Ross. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Ross scores with a decent looking elbow strike.

Martin is rocked!

Ross postures up from his opponent's guard, before exploding into some vicious ground and pound! Martin covers up, he's hurt! Ross keeps throwing the strikes, glancing at the referee... Will he stop it?? One more big shot from Ross and the ref steps in to end the fight! Ross can't hide his delight as he celebrates with his corner.
