Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Djin Kvasir (ranked 2484 p4p, 348 weight class) and Troy Manning (ranked 2540 p4p, 354 weight class). Kvasir comes into the arena with Nightmare blaring out of the sound system. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Sam Margolis, Paul Tew and Colin Fotheringham.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Manning swings and misses with a hook to the body.
It looked like Kvasir was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.
Troy Manning seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
No joy there for Manning, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Kvasir looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Kvasir shoots in but no luck this time.
Manning lands a slapping body shot.
Manning misses with a body shot.
An attempted straight right counter from Kvasir misses the target.
Manning takes a swing at Kvasir's ribcage but misses.
Kvasir shoots in but Manning avoids the takedown attempt easily.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Manning lands a really nice looking cross but Kvasir seems unphased.
Manning swings for the body but Kvasir moves out of range.
Kvasir went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.
Kvasir misses with a takedown attempt
and Manning counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Djin Kvasir. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Manning lunges at Kvasir with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Kvasir's hand.
Manning lands a body shot.
Manning shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.
Kvasir takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Kvasir shoots for a takedown but Manning saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Manning throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
Kvasir thinks about countering with a body kick.
Kvasir takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Manning scores with a body shot.
Kvasir shoots in for a double leg but Manning sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Manning throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Kvasir on the side of the head.
Manning is using his reach advantage to land shots from outside his opponent's range.
Manning throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Kvasir stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Manning fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Kvasir on the side of the head.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Manning pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Kvasir back to the cage. Manning follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.
It looks like Djin Kvasir has been cut.
Manning throws out a powerful jab.
Manning swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Kvasir throws a counter high kick but Manning was just alert enough to avoid it.
Manning is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Kvasir rather than just go for the knockout.
Kvasir drops his hands momentarily and Manning takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Manning throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Kvasir is looking to counter with head kicks.
Kvasir shoots and misses
and Manning counters with a stiff right hand.
Kvasir moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Kvasir is rocked!
Manning finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
Troy Manning is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Kvasir tries for a takedown but Manning circles away easily
enabling Manning to counter with a crisp jab.
Oh Kvasir is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Kvasir walks right into a perfectly timed right hook and goes down hard! He's out cold! The ref cradles Kvasir limp body while Manning jumps on to the cage and waves to the roaring crowd. Wow that was just a brutal knockout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:56 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Troy Manning!
In defeat, Djin Kvasir stepped up to the mic, saying 'next time is the time'.
