The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Xavier scores with a sloppy right hand. Rutherford should have avoided that one.
Xavier misses with a looping left.
Rutherford shapes to counter with a head kick.
Rutherford takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Xavier throws a body shot but no joy.
Rutherford takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Xavier on the wrong end of a kick to the body.
A punch lands to the side of Rutherford 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Xavier throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Rutherford stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Nice defenses there by Rutherford.
Rutherford throws a chopping leg kick but Xavier manages to avoid taking any serious damage.
Xavier waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Rutherford.
Rutherford uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Xavier.
Rutherford avoids the body shot from Xavier.

Xavier defending well as Rutherford loads up on a big left hand.
Xavier scores with a crisp jab that stopped Rutherford in his tracks.
Rutherford rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Xavier counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Rutherford steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Xavier.
Xavier moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.
Rutherford is rocked!
Xavier fakes a right and follows up with a big left that drops Rutherford to one knee - oooooh, he's wobbly! Rutherford looks to clinch but Xavier throws him off and pummels him into the canvas! Rutherford taps out under the strikes! The fight is over!
