Quick Fight Championship PBP Commentary


Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jayne Cobb (ranked 3820 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lucjan Anielski (ranked 3523 p4p, 0 weight class). Cobb's entrance music is The Hero of Canton. A fine choice. Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 32 wins, 29 losses and 1 draws, fighting out of Las Vegas, Lucjan Anielski!
The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, George Francis and Robert Twigg.



The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Anielski tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and Cobb connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

Anielski bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Cobb's head.

It looks like Jayne Cobb has been cut.
Anielski throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.

and Cobb cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

Anielski wants to stand but Cobb has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now.

Anielski is working for an americana but Cobb has been sneaky and has managed to get back to half guard, whilst Anielski was thinking about the submission.

That was a close round but I would say that Jayne Cobb will probably get the nod.

It looked like Cobb was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Anielski.
Anielski walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Cobb checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Cobb is looking to take a break and control but Anielski is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

It looks like Cobb has been trying to sharpen up his punching technique, as it looks crisper than last time we saw him.
Lucjan Anielski seems to be getting the better of the standup.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Anielski would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
