Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jc Dickens (ranked 5074 p4p, 587 weight class) and Luka Ivanusec (ranked 4999 p4p, 579 weight class). Ivanusec is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Hit me baby one more time. Jc Dickens is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples... Tweaking his own nipples that is.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Anthony Taglia, Chad Campbell and John Roberts.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Dickens gets caught napping as Ivanusec dives in and scores a takedown. Dickens manages to retain guard.

Ivanusec stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Dickens swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Ivanusec trying to control the position from guard on top but Dickens is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Dickens seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.

Ivanusec trying to control but Dickens is working from the bottom.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Ivanusec shoots in looking for a takedown. Dickens tries to sprawl out of it but Ivanusec keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Dickens manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

and Dickens counters with a nice double leg into guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Ivanusec is trying to control Dickens's posture but Dickens avoids it.

Dickens looks up at the clock and then as Ivanusec takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Dickens smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!

Ivanusec is rocked!
Ivanusec felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Dickens scores with a big shot from side control... and another... and another! Oh Ivanusec is done here - save him referee! More strikes land and eventually the ref does step in and Dickens can finally stop beating on his defenseless opponent!
