Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Duane Dibley (ranked 3200 p4p, 363 weight class) and Adolfo Fernando (ranked 2303 p4p, 274 weight class). Adolfo Fernando will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Adolfo Fernando!
The judges for this bout are George Francis, Robert Twigg and Chris Downing.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dibley tries to land a body kick
and Fernando counters with a stiff right hand.
Dibley thows a body kick. Fernando tries to catch it but that hurt him.
Dibley throws a good cross that connects.
Dibley throws a body punch but Fernando moves out of range.
Dibley throws a leg kick but Fernando sees it coming and moves out of range.
Dibley is looking to slow Fernando down with leg kicks.
Dibley throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

and Fernando counters with a lovely straight right hand!
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Dibley throws a low kick but it's checked well by Fernando.

Dibley working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Fernando doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Fernando manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Fernando is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Fernando throws a lazy right hand but Dibley sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
As Fernando tries to get set, Dibley tries to push him back and clinch up but Fernando manages to avoid the attempt.

Fernando throws an overhand right that lands on Dibley's shoulder, as Dibley tries to avoid the shot.

and Fernando counters with a slapping leg kick.
Dibley throws a lazy right hand but Fernando sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Fernando takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Fernando follows through with a counter body kick but it doesn't land.

Dibley has not gone for a single takedown so far in this fight, which seems like a very strange tactic when you consider that he has the superior wrestling and BJJ.

Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Fernando, as that shot connected.
Dibley throws a leg kick
and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.
Fernando throws a hook but Dibley avoids it easily.
Dibley is trying to close the distance and clinch up, after that failed offence from Fernando.
Fernando scores with a kick to the midsection.

And that's the end of the fight!
I would just about give that final round to Adolfo Fernando.
I think Dibley has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
