The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Brown throws a head kick that misses
and Lievin counters with a straight right hand.

We've been informed that Brown has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.

Brown fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Lievin manages to avoid it.

Brown with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Lievin to score with a decent uppercut.

and Lievin counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

It looks like Dave Brown has been cut.

Lievin lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Lievin scores with a kick to the midsection.
A kick lands to the mid section there for Lievin .

Lievin cracks Brown with a left hand that drops him to the canvas, up against the ropes! Can Brown get back up in time? 3, 4, 5, 6, 7... he's on one knee... 8, 9... he's up! 'Walk towards me' says the referee. Brown looks steady enough to continue so we're going to continue!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Brown throws a head kick that misses.
Lievin was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
Lievin is really peppering his opponent's head with punches.
Lievin fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Brown has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

Lievin swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.

Lievin moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Brown closes the distance but Lievin moves to the side
enabling Lievin to counter with a crisp jab.

Brown smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.

and Lievin counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.

Lievin scores a knockdown with a big right hand! Brown beats the count and gets back to his feet. The referee asks him to walk forwards and it appears he is OK so we'll continue the bout.
Brown rushes in with a sloppy looking punch

Lievin keeps Brown at a distance using the push kick.
Lievin lands with a hook. Brown tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.

Brown has developed a nice purple lump on his ribcage, as a result of some heavy body kicks from Lievin .
Brown glances at the clock... BAM! Lievin nails him with a big right hand! A momentary lapse in concentration sends Brown crashing to the mat! The referee steps in and this one is over! Damn, Brown is out of it, he thinks the ref is his opponent!

After winning the bout, Abe Lievin thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
