Coming up we have a light heavyweight kickboxing rules bout between Liam McGuiness (ranked 2698 p4p, 361 weight class) and Grover Dowiyogo (ranked 10471 p4p, 873 weight class). McGuiness comes into the arena with The Boys are Back by Dropkick Murphys blaring out of the sound system. Dowiyogo comes into a darkened arena with his song building. another life - kano kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the ring.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dowiyogo is looking to clinch but McGuiness is avoiding it.

Dowiyogo fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt McGuiness.

Dowiyogo has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
McGuiness misses with a straight right.
Dowiyogo moves in looking to clinch but McGuiness pushes him off.

Dowiyogo bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.

and McGuiness connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

It looks like Grover Dowiyogo has been cut.
McGuiness tries to check a leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Dowiyogo fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and McGuiness has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

and McGuiness counters with a perfect left hook, dropping Dowiyogo to the canvas. He tries to get back up quickly but his equilibrium is all over the place! He's up... he's back down again! There's no need for a count as the referee calls off the bout!
