Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mata misses with a looping right.
Monteban fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.
Monteban scores with a jab to the body.
Mata throws a hook but Monteban blocks it.
Mata dodges the punch combination from Monteban.
Mata tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Monteban was well out of range. Poor timing from Mata.
Mata jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Mata throws a right hand that misses
and Monteban counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Mata takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Mata is looking to land body kicks.
Mata throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Mata swings for the body but Monteban moves out of range.
Monteban misses with a body shot.
Mata misses with a body kick.

Monteban darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Mata is staying active underneath Monteban, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Monteban is thwarting Mata's attempts to control the position.
Monteban trying to control from half guard but Mata is working away.
Monteban not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
Mata is looking for a sweep. Monteban is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Monteban working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
Monteban thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Mata's head.
Monteban landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.

Monteban is looking to control the position but Mata frees his trapped leg and locks up an armbar from the bottom! It looks tight! Monteban grimaces and holds on for a second but is forced to tap or have his arm broken! Slick Jiu Jitsu from Mata there - Monteban really paying for some sloppy defensive work!
