Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Tony Bale (ranked 1491 p4p, 218 weight class) and Skeng Man (ranked 2212 p4p, 306 weight class). Tony Bale could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Skeng Man's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 15 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Tony Bale!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 13 - 12 - 1, fighting out of London, Skeng Man!
The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Cecil Peabody and Tiny Johnson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bale lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Man circles away quickly and effectively.
Bale tests Man's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Bale throws a hook to the side of Man's head but Man sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Bale throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Man sees it coming and avoids it easily.
A slow jab from Bale misses its intended target.

Man clinches.
Bale makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.

Man wants the takedown. Bale is fighting it off but Man persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Bale's guard against the cage.
Man stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Bale swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Man postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Man throws a strike but Bale rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Man is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Bale defends well.
Man not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

Bale avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Bale wants to stand but Man is controlling his posture from full guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Man working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Bale doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Bale manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Man is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Man looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Bale puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard.

Bale seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
Bale frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.

We've been hearing good reports from Bale's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.

Man sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.

Man has a hand on Bale's thigh, trying to get back to full guard. Bale takes advantage of the position though and mounts him!
Man is desperately trying to improve his position but Bale has a good base and remains in mount.

Bale takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
Man wants to get back to full guard but Bale has passed into side control.
Man tries to buck Bale off but Bale is having none of it.
Man sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.
Bale throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Man tries to get to full guard but Bale has control of the leg.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Bale with a momentary lay and pray from half guard.
Man wants to get back to full guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A kick lands to the mid section there for Bale.
Bale is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Man can do to turn this around?

Bale stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.

Man is looking for submissions but instead, Bale has regained full guard.
Man loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.

Bale is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Man throwing strikes but missing.
Bale seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.
Man pushing down on Bale's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work.
Man throws a strike but Bale avoids it easily and moves to full guard.
Bale preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.

Man postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Bale is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Man, into his guard.

Man tries to land a sweep but no joy.

Bale decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Man, up you get!
Man tries a head kick but it misses.
Man avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Man drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.

Man thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Bale can't do much from the bottom here.
Man lands some shots froms side control.

Man in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time.
Man is trying to ground and pound but Bale uses the momentary lack of control by Man to regain half guard.
Man lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.

Man is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Bale sees it coming and defends easily.
Bale tries to kick Man off but Man keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.

Man is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Bale is just riding it out for now. Man eventually gives up the hold.
Man not landing any meaningful shots this time.

Bale avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Man.

Man seems to be looking for submissions.

Man is working for a submission of some sort.

Man is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

A close second round but Skeng Man will probably get the nod - 10:9.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!


Man tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Bale swivels and escapes.
Bale throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Man counters with a lovely shot to the body.
Bale thows a left - swing and a miss!

Bale closes the distance and clinches.

Man breaks the clinch.
Man shoots in but Bale avoids the takedown attempt easily.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Bale has a couple of punches blocked by Man.
Bale is pressed up against the cage. Man has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Bale down to the mat. Bale avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Tony Bale has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Skeng Man.

and Man decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Bale's guard.
Bale is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Man is controlling him.

Man is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Bale is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Bale has escaped and now he's on top!

Man looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Bale has picked Man up and slammed him! Man can't keep hold of the triangle and Bale manages to pass to side control!

Bale stands up and beckons Man to his feet.
Man slips a straight right by Bale.
Man tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.
A big left from Bale misses.
Man changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.
Bale is looking to score with low kicks.

Bale has managed to clinch.
Man tries for a takedown. No joy.
Man is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Bale gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.

A head punch on the inside from Bale fails to land.

Bale gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Man.
Man changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Bale fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Man takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Bale connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.

Bale rushes Man and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Man tries to pull guard but Bale won't allow it.

Bale looks to throw an elbow but misses.

Bale pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Man steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Bale.
Bale tries to bum rush Man with a series of wild strikes but Man uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Bale ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Man moves away.

Bale tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Man manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Man tries to move into range but Bale moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.

Man manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Bale on his heels. He'll look to pass Bale's guard now, I'm sure.
Man is looking to pass into half guard but Bale pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Bale is in guard.

Bale looking to control the position here, rather than advance.
Bale wants to control from the top but Man keeps moving.
Bale controls from within his opponent's guard.
Bale stopping the sweep attempt from Man.
Skeng Man has got the better of the ground game so far.

Tony Bale tried to hype himself up post fight but didn't word it too well and it ended up with him sounding like a bit of a tool.
