Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between David Paddington (ranked 6002 p4p, 513 weight class) and Rizky Nanda (ranked 8928 p4p, 597 weight class). Paddington kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Broken - Next time around. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Paddington with a poor takedown
and Nanda makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.

Paddington has closed the distance and engaged Nanda in a clinch.
Nanda can't get the takedown.

Paddington wants the takedown. Nanda is fighting it off but Paddington persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Nanda's guard against the cage.

Nanda wants to get back to his feet but Paddington is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Nanda had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Paddington defends it easily.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Paddington prevents Nanda from getting back to his feet.
Paddington loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Paddington knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Nanda on the ground.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.

Paddington has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Nanda has his foot on Paddington's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Paddington works his way back into a safe position though.
Paddington wants to control from the top but Nanda keeps moving.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Nanda looks for the body kick but Paddington saw that one coming.
Paddington looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Paddington dives in for a single leg takedown but Nanda sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Nanda avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Nanda swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Paddington avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Paddington fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Nanda to the ground. Paddington is now in Nanda's guard.
Paddington is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Paddington drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Nanda dives on top into guard.

Nanda is trying to stand up here but Paddington is controlling him well.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Paddington is pushing down on Nanda's leg trying to pass to half guard. Nanda is fighting to maintain full guard but Paddington has managed to sneak the leg through.
Nanda makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Nanda.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

David Paddington dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Nanda is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Paddington's leg. Oh but that's left an opportunity for Paddington! He's got an arm triangle... it looks tight! He's rotating and Nanda has tapped! This one is allllll over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:29 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Arm Triangle). David Paddington!
