Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Mo Thanyoo (ranked 2383 p4p, 359 weight class) and Bob Goblin (ranked 4408 p4p, 556 weight class). Mo Thanyoo has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Thanyoo closes this distance looking for a takedown but Goblin circles away.

Thanyoo manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Goblin on his heels. He'll look to pass Goblin's guard now, I'm sure.

Goblin lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Goblin moves out of range as Thanyoo throws a body kick.
The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Goblin. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man.

Goblin breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Goblin shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Goblin throws a push kick but Thanyoo slaps the foot to one side.
Mo Thanyoo seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Goblin fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Thanyoo sprawls well initially but Goblin persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Goblin has managed to escape just enough to sneak back to his feet but Thanyoo is on him like a limpet, forcing Goblin back against the cage.

Thanyoo throws a hook but Goblin avoids it easily.
As Thanyoo backs off Goblin throws a huge counter combo but Thanyoo manages to avoid it all.

Goblin got a little sloppy there for a moment and Thanyoo has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Goblin has managed to get both his arms back between Thanyoo's legs - danger averted.

Goblin is looking to work some ground and pound but Thanyoo has wrist control.
