Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Vincent Cornelius (ranked 6416 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ryan Lentz (ranked 7320 p4p, 0 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Vincent Cornelius!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ryan Lentz!
The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Tiny Johnson and Robert Twigg.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cornelius falls off balance throwing a combination

and Lentz counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
Cornelius is looking to escape.
Lentz stalling.
Lentz stops Cornelius from getting back to his feet.
Lentz keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Cornelius has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Lentz is working away from the top position though.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Lentz takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Lentz passes to full mount!
Lentz looking to ground and pound but Cornelius is blocking nicely.

Lentz is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Cornelius has managed to escape the submission attempt.
Cornelius is really trying hard to get back to his feet.
Lentz looking to control and managing it successfully.

Lentz is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Cornelius to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Cornelius shrugs it off.
Cornelius is breathing heavily.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Lentz punching from mount but Cornelius doing a good job of avoiding damage.
Lentz controlling from the full mount.
Lentz throwing sloppy strikes, which aren't doing any damage.
Lentz sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Lentz misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.

Lentz thowing shots but they're missing.
Cornelius knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Lentz on the ground.

Cornelius has left one of his arms exposed and Lentz doesn't need a second invitation. He's isolated it and locked on a tight armbar. Cornelius screams and taps out, obviously in a lot of pain. Hopefully there isn't permanent damage to that arm.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:58 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Ryan Lentz!
Vincent Cornelius spoke after the fight, saying 'I tried my best but he was just better prepared than me.'.
