Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Vicente Lafayette (ranked 1151 p4p, 179 weight class) and John Luther (ranked 2048 p4p, 313 weight class). Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the prize buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The crowd cheers as Lafayette lands an impressive looking overhand right. Luther doesn't seem phased though.
A good leg kick by Lafayette.
Luther takes one to the side of the head.
Luther tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Lafayette definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.

Luther closes the distance and pushes Lafayette back into the cage.
Luther lands a shoulder strike.
Lafayette digs a right hand underneath Luther's ribcage. Luther let out a lung full of air as it connected.
Lafayette pushes Luther back against the cage and unloads with a body punch.
Luther looks winded!
Lafayette is trying to pull guard but Luther turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.
Lafayette lands with a light punch inside.
Lafayette throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Luthers head.
Luther swings wildly with an uppercut but Lafayette uses good head movement to avoid it.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Lafayette jumps guard.
Luther passes Lafayette's left leg - he's now in half guard.

Lafayette is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Luther pulls his head out easily.

Lafayette works his way to full guard. Good work.

Lafayette is looking for a triangle but Luther pushes his legs off easily.

Lafayette is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Luther is aware though and is defending well.

Lafayette had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Luther defends it easily.
Luther tries to free his leg and advance position but Lafayette is retaining full guard.

Lafayette escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Luther gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Lafayette has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Luther doesn't defend quickly enough and Lafayette has managed to lock this one up! Can Luther escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Lafayette on a fantastic submission victory.
