The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Westover bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.

Mars thows a left - swing and a miss!
Westover throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Westover throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Mars sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Westover throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Westover really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

As Mars looks to move away, Westover throws a big counter combo but Mars just gets out of the way.

Mars connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Westover's hands.

Westover walks into a big right hand from Mars and goes down! The referee sends Mars to a neutral corner as Westover gets back to his feet. He looks OK so we're back under way.

Mars stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Westover tries to get into range but Mars steps to the side and lands a beautiful hook that drops Westover! He's faceplanted into the mat, ass in the air... he's out cold! That's an image he won't want to show his grandkids when he gets older! Mars scores the big KO victory!

A very excited looking Mick Mars made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
