Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Sam Assad!
The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Stewart Dunkirk and Daniel Franklin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Assad gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Marston.

It looks like Sam Assad has been cut.
Marston rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Assad moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Assad is trying to avoid his opponent's strikes and get into the clinch.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Marston lands a body punch - he's looking to wear down Assad.
Marston lands with a short shot to the head.
Marston pushes Assad back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.
Marston is working Assad over against the cage.
Marston lands a nice uppercut.
Marston lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Assad backwards.
Marston lands a hook to the side of the head.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Assad has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
Marston throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Assads head.
Marston lands with a good tight uppercut to the head.

Assad is rocked!
Assad tries to break free but Marston pushes him back against the cage.
Assad is still on wobbly legs! Can Marston finish him?
Marston lands a body punch.
Assad seems to have recovered his senses.
Assad looks winded!

Marston breaks from the clinch.
A decent looking cross lands there for Marston.
We've been told by Marston's head coaches at The Devil Dogs that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Marston defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Assad.
The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Marston checks a leg kick.
A little feinted left hand from Marston on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Assad fails with an attempt to clinch.
Assad throws a looping overhand right but Marston ducks down to avoid it.

Marston gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Marston lands a hook that snaps the head of Assad backwards.
Marston gets through Assad's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.
A nice right hand lands inside from Marston.
Marston lands with a light punch inside.
Marston softening up his opponent with strikes, against the cage.
A hook to the body from Marston.
Marston lands with a right to the head.
Assad wants to take the fight to the mat but Marston manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.

Marston breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Marston drops Assad with a huge uppercut! Assad drops to the floor like a sack of potatoes. Marston is raining down punches and the ref stops the fight! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:48 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). John Marston!
A relieved looking John Marston thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
