The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Crew fails miserably with a takedown attempt.

Paulin gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Paulin is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Crew drops back looking for a leg! Paulin is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Paulin manages to kick Crew off! Crew jumps back into Paulin's guard.

Paulin really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Crew. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Crew with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.

Crew has control of Paulin's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Paulin regains control of the situation pretty easily.

Crew jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Paulin manages to avoid the submission attempt.
Paulin is looking to reverse the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Crew is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Paulin is trying to escape and Crew transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Paulin is forced to tap! Nice work there by Crew! Very nice indeed!
