Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Marv Miller (ranked 1982 p4p, 287 weight class) and Viktor Grishin (ranked 1558 p4p, 226 weight class). Miller comes to the cage accompanied by Party in the USA- Miley Cyrus. Grishin is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Danger. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Marv Miller!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 5 - 0, fighting out of London, Viktor Grishin!
The judges for this bout are Anthony Taglia, Lou da Vinci and Jorge Garcia.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Grishin slips a jab from Miller.
Miller feints and then cracks Grishin's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Grishin down.
Miller fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Grishin misses with a takedown attempt
and Miller counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Grishin tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and Miller counters with a lovely straight right hand!
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Grishin avoids a kick to the body.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
Sloppy strikes from Grishin. Those never looked like landing.

Miller lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Miller throws a lazy right hand but Grishin sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Miller is looking to land body kicks.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Grishin crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Miller - the referee stops the clock and Grishin gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Miller. Grishin manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.

Grishin throws out a counter right but Miller avoids it with no problem.

Grishin swings away with a leg kick that misses.

Miller looks for the body kick but Grishin saw that one coming.
Miller lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
Miller takes a jab right on the kisser.
Grishin moves out of range as Miller strikes.
Miller swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Grishin.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Grishin circles away from the clinch attempt.
Miller misses with a hook. Grishin ducked under it nicely.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Grishin tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Miller manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Miller is looking for a counter combo.
Miller feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Grishin's calf.

Grishin throws a right hand that Miller ducks under and follows up with a left that Miller also avoids with ease.
Miller is looking to counter with head kicks.

Grishin lands a left and a right that send Miller crashing to the mat, dazed. Grishin thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!


Miller is rocked!
Miller is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Grishin can do to turn this around?
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Miller slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.

Miller looks for the body kick but Grishin saw that one coming.
Grishin closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Miller ducks right into an uppercut from Grishin.
Nice takedown defense from Miller. No joy for Grishin on that attempt.
Miller half committed to a counter leg kick.

and Miller counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Miller tried to score with a low kick but Grishin checks it.
Grishin ducks under a wild hook from Miller.
Grishin is loading up here, looking for a big counter of his own.

Grishin pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Nice defenses there by Grishin.
Grishin throws a solid leg kick but Miller takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Grishin.

Miller throws an overhand right that lands on Grishin's shoulder, as Grishin tries to avoid the shot.
Marv Miller seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Grishin has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Miller finds it's way round the side to connect with Grishin's head.

Grishin tries to clinch but Miller moves out of range.

Grishin breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Miller is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Grishin misses with a looping left.
An attempted straight right counter from Miller misses the target.
Miller wants to slow Grishin down by chopping away at his legs.
Grishin throws out a counter right but Miller avoids it with no problem.
Grishin on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Grishin moves to clinch but Miller breaks away
and Miller counters with a nice low kick that buckles Grishin's knee momentarily.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close second round but I would say that Marv Miller will probably get the nod.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!
