The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Franco looks to clinch

so Gump counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.

Franco is scooting his butt against the cage and has managed to get back to his feet. Gump presses him back against the cage, presumably looking to take the fight back to the mat.
Gump changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Franco fights it off and pushes away nicely.

Gump has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Franco clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!

Gump is looking for a rear naked choke here but Franco reverses the position brilliantly into Gump's guard!

Gump is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Franco defends well.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.

Gump working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Franco doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Franco manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Gump is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Franco is aware though and is defending well.
