Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Hector Perkins (ranked 6641 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tj Sansoucie (ranked 6640 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sansoucie shoots in for a double leg but Perkins sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Sansoucie.
Sansoucie is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Sansoucie escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Perkins gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Perkins might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Perkins drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Sansoucie manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Perkins has Sansoucie in his guard.

That was a close round but I would say that Hector Perkins will probably get the nod.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

It looked like Perkins was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Sansoucie.

Sansoucie shoots for a double leg takedown but Perkins sprawls well. He's pushed Sansoucie's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Perkins seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance.

Sansoucie has his foot on Perkins's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Perkins works his way back into a safe position though.
