Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 14 - 15 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Peter Hare!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 17 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Adam Bourque!
The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Timothy Bukovac and Jack Bonds.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bourque tries to close the distance and clinch up against the ropes but Hare paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Bourque scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!


It looks like Peter Hare has been cut.
Hare has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Cozad MMA LA Elite in the buildup to the fight.
Hare lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Bourque lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Hare throws an off balance right hand
and Bourque counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Hare misses with a hook

Bourque scores with a hook to the body. Hare takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Hare bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Hare lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Bourque backs up against the ropes.

and Bourque counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.

and Bourque counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Bourque uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Hare.
Hare throws a lazy uppercut
and Bourque connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Jab, jab by Bourque - just one landing.
Hare misses with a leg kick
and Bourque counters with a stiff right hand.
Hare swings and misses with a hook to the body.
A cross from Hare lands.
Bourque has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Bourque lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
A looping hook to the body misses from Hare. Bourque does a little dance to reset his feet.
Hare lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Hare throws a right hand that misses
and Bourque counters with a series of strikes. Hare will be more careful next time no doubt.
Hare moves out of range of the strikes.
Peter Hare seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Hare misses with a double jab.
Hare throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Bourque is looking to clinch but Hare is avoiding it.
Hare throws a hook but Bourque blocks it.
Hare misses with a leg kick

Bourque unleashes a big counter combination but Hare bobs and weaves and avoids any damage.
The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Bourque avoids a kick to the body.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Bourque lands a head shot.
Bourque moves away from the strike by Hare.
A low kick from Hare is predictable there
and Bourque counters with a straight punch to the midsection.

Bourque scores with a jab and follows up with an uppercut that drops Hare to his knees! He bounces straight back to his feet but is forced to take the mandatory standing 8 count before he's allowed to continue. We're back under way and the fighters meet in the middle of the canvas to re-engage.
Hare staying out of range there.
Hare slips a jab from Bourque.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Hare throws a head kick that misses
and Bourque counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.


Peter Hare's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it.
Hare throws a series of punches but Bourque moves out of range.
Bourque shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Hare eats them both and turns towards Bourque to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
Bourque checks the leg kick.
Bourque swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
Hare scores with a body shot.
Bourque has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

A nice combination there by Hare.
Hare throws a right and a left that both miss.
Bourque throws out a counter right but Hare avoids it with no problem.
Bourque lands with an overhand left.
Hare scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Bourque doesn't seem bothered though.
Hare misses with an uppercut. Bourque saw that one coming.
Bourque misses with a left hand
and Hare counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.
A slow jab from Bourque misses its intended target.
Bourque ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Hare looks to throw the jab but Bourque is out of range.
Bourque checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.
Bourque let fly with a counter punch to the body but it didn't land.

Hare misses the jab.
Hare changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Jeez, Peter Hare's cut is really nasty now. The referee must be thinking about getting that checked.
