PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Heath Bace (ranked 6845 p4p, 236 weight class) and Chara Zaad (ranked 10110 p4p, 132 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Bace might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to All the single ladies. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Heath Bace!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Chara Zaad!
The judges for this bout are , Don Winkell and Jack Bonds.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bace throws a hook but Zaad blocks it.
Chara Zaad seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Bace on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
Zaad has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight.
Nice shot by Zaad.
Zaad defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Bace.
Bace fails with a takedown attempt.
Zaad stalks Bace and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Bace's face. Bace staggers backwards, shaken.
A punch lands to the side of Bace 's head but he takes it in his stride.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
A clash of legs there as Bace blocks the low kick.
Bace throwing a counter right hand but Zaad manages to avoid it.
Zaad punishes Bace's body with a nice straight punch.
Bace closes the distance and clinches up with Zaad, looking for a takedown. Bace pushes Zaad against the cage but Zaad circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Zaad wants to counter the offense by Bace and move into the clinch position.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Heath Bace. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Bace misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Zaad.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Zaad scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
Bace takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Zaad works the jab nicely.
Bace throws a shot from downtown. Zaad moves away and avoids it.
Zaad slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
Bace takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.

Zaad lands a left and a right that send Bace crashing to the mat, dazed. Zaad thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

Bace is rocked!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Zaad walks forward and throws a big overhand right! Bace drops to the floor like a sack of potatoes! Zaad swarms on him with more punches until the referee wrestles him away from Bace's unconscious body! Wow, that was brutal!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:40 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Chara Zaad!
