Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Joao Pinto (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Yami Kami (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). This should be fireworks!

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Leandro Rodrigues, Edson Gomes and Seu Braga.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No luck with that takedown attempt from Kami.
Some wild striking there from Kami.
Pinto misses with a head kick.

Pinto closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Pinto fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Pinto throws an elbow but it's blocked.

Kami breaks from the clinch.
Pinto dives in for a single leg takedown but Kami sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.

Kami connects with a couple of short punches.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

Kami closes the distance and clinches up with Pinto, looking for a takedown. Kami pushes Pinto against the cage but Pinto circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

That was a close second round but I would say that Joao Pinto will probably get the nod.

Kami escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Pinto lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

I would just about give that final round to Yami Kami.
I think Kami has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
