PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight kickboxing rules bout between Federico Manta (ranked 1572 p4p, 177 weight class) and Ossilus Chiarmanda (ranked 964 p4p, 119 weight class). Manta's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Ultima Corsa by Mondo Marcio. Chiarmanda has chosen Long live my homeland, my free Tajikistan! as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Chiarmanda lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Chiarmanda scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.
Manta connects with a leg kick. Chiarmanda looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
Chiarmanda looks to land a left hand but Manta moved out of range nicely.
Chiarmanda swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Manta definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Manta throws the kick towards the body but Chiarmanda avoids it.
Chiarmanda ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.

Chiarmanda throws a hook to the side of Manta's head but Manta sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Manta throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
And Chiarmanda responds with a good body kick, but Manta manages to step out the way in time.

Chiarmanda looks to land a body kick but Manta moved away.
Manta throws a solid leg kick but Chiarmanda takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Manta.

Manta fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Chiarmanda.
A lazy left from Manta finds it's target.
A clash of legs there as Manta blocks the low kick.

Manta cracks Chiarmanda with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Manta throws an overhand right that lands on Chiarmanda's shoulder, as Chiarmanda tries to avoid the shot.
Chiarmanda appeared to try and counter that last move with a leg kick.
Manta throws a jab when Chiarmanda was well out of range.
Chiarmanda cracks the inside of Manta's front leg.
Manta throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Manta motions for Chiarmanda to come forward. Manta throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Chiarmanda swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
Manta has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Chiarmanda finds it's way round the side to connect with Manta's head.
Manta drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.

Chiarmanda clobbers Manta with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Chiarmanda lets loose with a powerful body kick. Manta will feel that in the morning.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Manta.
Chiarmanda throws a lazy right hand but Manta sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Nice uppercut there from Chiarmanda.

Manta is rocked!
Chiarmanda is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Manta had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté.
Manta rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and as Manta resets, Chiarmanda counters with a big head kick, out of nowhere! Manta goes down! The referee sends Chiarmanda to a neutral corner and begins the count.. 3,4,5,6,7, will he make it? 8,9,10! He's out! This one is all over!
