Bellwether comes to the cage accompanied by John Lennon - Give Peace A Chance. Kimbo Slice has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A lazy left from Slice finds it's target.
Bellwether looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Slice connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Bellwether misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Slice.
It seemed like Slice was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.

Bellwether gets a double leg takedown into Slice's guard.
Slice wants to stand up but Bellwether is controlling him.
Slice keeping moving, preventing Bellwether from controlling successfully.
Bellwether is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Slice is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
Bellwether stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Slice swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Slice is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Bellwether advances to half guard.

Bellwether is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Slice is just riding it out for now. Bellwether eventually gives up the hold.
Bellwether missing with some ground and pound from the half guard.
Bellwether has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Slice manages to create a bit of space in order to work his way back to his feet. Bellwether keeps hold of his opponent and drives him back against the cage.
Slice misses with a hook to the ribs.
Bellwether makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.
Slice scores with a shoulder strike.

Bellwether breaks from the clinch.
Bellwether throws a head kick that misses.
Slice bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Bellwether's head.
An inside leg kick lands from Slice.
Bellwether dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Slice connects with a crisp jab.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Bellwether tries to score a power double leg takedown but Slice sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Bellwether somewhat.
Kimbo Slice is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

enabling Slice to counter with a crisp jab.

Bellwether chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Bellwether gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Bellwether throws a looping overhand right but Slice ducks down to avoid it.
Slice keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Bellwether misses with a shot to the body
and Slice counters with a body kick that stops Bellwether in his tracks momentarily.
Slice is looking to clinch.
Nice cross by Bellwether.
Bellwether looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
Bellwether misses with a kick to the body
and Slice counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Bellwether throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Slice's waist but Slice gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Bellwether off to one side.

Slice sends Bellwether crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Slice is motioning to the referee to let Bellwether up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!

It looks like Beckett Bellwether has been cut.
Slice throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Bellwether stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

and Slice counters with a left to the body.
Bellwether is breathing heavily.

Slice feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Bellwether's calf.
Slice defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Bellwether.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Beckett Bellwether. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Slice jabs at Bellwether's body.
Slice lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
Bellwether gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
Bellwether tries to move into range but Slice moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.

Slice cracks Bellwether with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Bellwether looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Slice finish him?

Bellwether on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
Nice straight punches there by Slice. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Slice.

Slice lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Bellwether misses with a kick to the body.
Slice dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Slice throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena.
Bellwether throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
Slice throws out a counter right but Bellwether avoids it with no problem.
Slice throws a leg kick which misses Bellwether's front leg but catches the back leg as Bellwether tries to avoid it.
Kimbo Slice seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Slice lands a nice looking body shot.
Bellwether throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Bellwether has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Slice.

The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Slice cracks Bellwether with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Slice has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Bellwether to stand back up!
