PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Brendan Duff (ranked 578 p4p, 99 weight class) and Lee Sin (ranked 448 p4p, 75 weight class). Duff comes to the cage accompanied by Determined by Mudvayne. Sin has chosen Original Nuttah as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 14 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Brendan Duff!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 4 - 0, fighting out of London, Lee Sin!
The judges for this bout are , Jack Bonds and Timothy Bukovac.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sin takes a swing at Duff's ribcage but misses.
Sin walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.

It looks like Brendan Duff has been cut.
Duff with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Sin to score with a decent uppercut.

Sin takes one on the chin but keeps coming.

Sin loads up on a big right hand but Duff slips the punch.
Duff connects with a good right hand that stumbles Sin. Sin circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Duff looks to land a left hand but Sin moved out of range nicely.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Sin is trying to control Duff's posture but Duff avoids it.
Duff trying to control the action but Sin is working from the bottom.
Duff working the ground and pound but he's contacting the mat, not the fighter.
Sin is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Duff off and has taken his back!

Sin throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Duff misses with a straight left.
Duff throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.

Sin moves forwards but Duff connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Good standup being displayed there by Duff as he connects with a hook.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Sin cracks Duff with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
Sin throws out a leg kick but Duff moves out of range and Sin only half commits.
Horrible takedown attempt by Duff or perhaps it was just good defense by Sin, which made it look bad.

Sin lands a nice hook to Duff's body. Duff takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.

Sin now looks to counter with a shot at the body.
Sin has a pretty nasty looking mouse under his right eye.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Duff crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Sin - the referee stops the clock and Duff gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Sin. Duff manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.

Sin moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Sin bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.

Brendan Duff is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

Duff wants to lay and pray for a moment but Sin keeps working.

Lee Sin comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Duff has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
